Carl Bond’s plan
for Covid-19 relief;
the Thurston County edition
`
`
Hello and Welcome!
`
I am a photographer and I am looking for people to hire, $50 an hour for one hour of labor.
`
Please see the form at the bottom of this page
and fill it out completely
if you are interested in
joining this revolution.
`
Please do not fill out my contract if you are not a resident of Olympia, Lacey or Tumwater.
`
Due to the ongoing concerns of Covid-19,
I will not be accepting applications from those who live outside of Thurston County.
`
I guarantee that I will be methodical in finding the appropriate people for this job.
`
The only requirements for qualifying
are that you must live within
Olympia, Lacey or Tumwater
and you must have some sort of ID
(it can be expired, I don't care), beyond completing the contract completely.
`
Why I am doing this:
`
I am in the #YangGang.
I've been a huge supporter of Andrew Yang, supporting him even before Covid-19 had struck the world.
`
And his idea of a
is the most serious policy idea that we must implement for
all Americans!
`
Now, more than ever,
people should be getting a
“stimulus check”
of at least
$2,000 a month.
`
True, some people are working...
`
But not everyone is working in this crisis!
`
THAT is WHY
I put the above method of payment
in quotation marks!
`
So, for the people who cannot work in this pandemic...
...a check is much more than some “stimulus” to them...
...where isn’t just about
ANY MONEY
is practically
a subject of
LIFE or DEATH
to them...
`
And because
not everyone is working,
it is hard to support an economy
like the United States
on just the
limited amount of working employees currently available...
`
This. Is.
NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!
`
Hello! HELLLLLLOOO...!!!
`
At no point, under no circumstances of any kind, does there seem to be any measure
of sustainability...!
`
I mean, WAKE UP, people...!
`
It really is
`
obscene that,
`
since the pandemic started,
`
there has been only
`
*three payments*
`
delivered to Americans!
`
Hence, that is
`
why this page was created.
`
It is for you to learn about me, about how we might be able to
`
solve the challenges
`
we face in America,
`
together.
`
All I offer are ideas, a concept of sustainability.
`
Whether or not there is something that can be gained from my ideas of sustainability, a common, shared goal, this is something that remains to be seen.
`
If this page generates a dialogue of ideas for the representatives of our great nation of ours, this page will have served the highest possible purpose.
`
What I will do:
`
After taking pictures of you,
I will seek your direction,
`
even as we socially distance ourselves from one another through a Zoom call,
`
in manipulating those photos I took of you.
`
You will be able to see what I see on my screen.
`
I have more than enough artistic programs on
`
my computer for me to use
`
as you direct me on the style you want to be seen in.
`
What I have done:
`
You might have already seen my home page before.
`
You might be asking yourself what else can I do.
`
“What does art look like as a finished item?”
`
Well, here are some photos of my art on Facebook, in a gallery I participated in, back in 2015:
`
`
Those canvas prints
`
are ones that
`
I still have today:
`

`
As in Facebook gallery video above, notice my sense of humor with my facial expressions in these photos here...
`
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
`
In 2016, I recorded myself and put those videos on YouTube and TV.
`
I was volunteering at TCTV (Thurston County Television) at the time, which was becoming TCM (Thurston County Media).
`
I wanted digital art to become understood and accessible to anyone that wanted to play around with it.
`
This is why the videos were recorded, that is why the videos are still available today.
`
`
The frustrating thing about this was that I wanted this to be an ongoing thing on the television channels of TCM...
`
...but they wouldn't broadcast video that they had already broadcast, they always wanted fresh, new video to present.
`
Even on a weekly or monthly scale, to keep creating video like this seemed to be an arduous process to me...
`
...where I would be constantly reinventing the wheel.
`
Over and over, I would demonstrate digital art?
`
Sorry, it just seemed to be more and more a waste of time, the more I thought about doing such a thing.
`
Well, in 2017, I felt particularly bold.
`
I wanted to do a big piece of art,
`
the biggest size that I could order from Costco.
`
For those who don't know, Costco is a bulk shopping warehouse center, a place that can be a place for many people’s shopping needs.
`
This is what I came up with, a size that Costco, sadly, no longer offers:
`

`
Fans of the Superman movies may recognize the colorful illustration immediately above.
`
For those who do not know, that image on the canvas is pulled directly from a frame in the film Superman, made back in 1978.
`
I wanted to
`
go HUGE
`
in 2017 because of
`
my confidence
`
in producing canvas art.
`
I wondered what would
`
it be like to create
`
such a large picture.
`
I wondered what would
`
it be like to see
`
such a large picture.
`
So, for the biggest picture that I could make from Costco at the time,
`
...I thought the idea of a “larger than life” event,
`
of a life being saved by
some flying, mystery man...
`
...THIS was something to see.
`
And it still is!
`
With the art that you saw in the seconds long video above, the gallery on Facebook from 2015,
`
I also ordered this artwork of Superman in 2017 from Costco...
`
...and I am still amazed at how it has turned out, like it really is having a super man be as real as me...!
`
The frame from the 1978 movie is contained in this 47 second clip of the film:
`
`
I want to be transparent as much as possible.
`
I don't just do this to show you what I can do.
`
I also want to give you an idea on the conversations I’ve had with people as I tried to generate interest
`
before this public release of my contract, which you can find at the end of this page.
`
On the shipping box label of the 40 x 60 art piece,
`
you can clearly see the price I paid for it,
`
basically $280.
`
One person was inspired to ask me to be paid that much, $280, since I had afforded that before.
`
No problem, right?
`
WRONG.
`
This is a BIG problem.
`
Not only will doing these kinds of things result in the automatic removal of me working with you,
`
I will keep a record of such communication coming from you, for my future reference.
`
I do NOT have time
for such games.
`
I am not your personal bank.
`
I am not your personal lender.
`
I am one person.
`
But with this page,
`
can I change the world?
`
Yes, for some people,
`
money is scarce.
`
Meanwhile,
`
I have a job.
`
But that doesn't mean I will freely dispense $50 to whomever requests the money from me.
`
What I’m doing is trying to
`
change one wallet at a time.
`
What this page is doing is
`
changing one mind at a time.
`
The idea “a rising tide lifts all boats”
`
could be another way of explaining
`
this philosophy of work and life.
`

`
Do you get it now ?
`
If we all need money to survive,
`
A policy of UBI
`
should be
`
around the corner.
`
Anyway,
`
I wonder who this
`
page might inspire.
`
Not just in my city.
`
Not just in my county.
`
But I hope, throughout
`
the entire United States.
`
Consider the population of just one locality in America at 6,200 people, according to one website.
`

`
In the pie charts above and below, look at the difference between two people
`
(me helping one other person) from 6,200 others above and from 62 others below.
`
This is the reason for the pie chart above and the pie chart below, to show these perspectives.
`
The pie chart below offers a different ratio, to show how immense the pie chart above is.
`
The pie chart below shows two people out of 62 others.
`

`
So even trying to serve 62 people in one year would be impossible for me.
`
Why?
`
Well, there are 52 weeks in a year, so I am unable to serve more people than 52 in one year,
`
as I can only serve one person per week.
`
But *ANY* ratio of people
is sized perfectly,
`
for many American citizens to contact their elected representation in the U.S. Congress.
