`
Carl Bond’s plan
for Covid-19 relief;
the Thurston County edition
`
`
Hello and Welcome!
`
I am a photographer
and I am looking for
people to hire:
`
$50 an hour for
one hour of labor.
`
Please see the contract
at the bottom of this page
and fill it out completely
if you are interested in
joining this revolution
of art and creation.
`
Please do not fill out my
contract if you are not a
resident of Olympia,
Lacey or Tumwater.
`
Due to the ongoing
concerns of Covid-19,
I will not be
accepting applications
from those who
live outside of
Thurston County.
`
I guarantee that I will be
methodical in finding the
appropriate people
for this job.
`
The only requirements
for qualifying
are that you must live within
Olympia, Lacey or Tumwater
or any other area
within Thurston County
and you must have
some sort of valid ID
AND the contract
MUST be completed.
`
What is the Plan?
`
My Covid-19 Relief Plan is very simple.
`

This is important. I need to know who you are.
Only when you show up, will you be paid for the
time you spent with me, an hour of your time.
Zoom is just one of many ways you can see my
computer screen as I edit your pictures.
Social media isn’t just a place where your friends and family reside. It is also a place to find new relationships.
If this idea works for you, it can work for someone else, as well. Help me earn back $50, as I help you,
where I would be, in turn, helping the world.
Do you want to have more pictures taken of you? Instead of being inside, somewhere, would your next set of pictures be taken at a park or a beach?
What time and place do you want
the pictures to be taken?
`
I will say it again.
My contract is at the bottom of this page.
PLEASE fill it out COMPLETELY.
`
But for some people,
they might have more questions
about this process of creating
artists out of regular people.
`
So I will be explaining
this elaborate process
on this page.
`
And, yes, indeed.
`
You read that right.
`
I want to make artists out
of regular people.
`
For example, the affirmation
“I can’t paint”
does not mean anything
when websites AND phone apps
are, instead, doing that
creative work.
`
And in showing the
software I’ve used,
other people may
notice this list,
on how painfully EASY
it CAN be
to get this
beautiful Earth
started on
a new way
of thinking!
`
They could even use
the same kind of software
to help other people as
how I want
to help people.
`
`
Well, I can only hope
that would be the case,
even while living
through a pandemic,
there is still more
to Earth
than to experience just
grief and isolation
alone!
`
`
As we are still
on this Earth,
STILL HUMAN,
there is JUST
SO much
to do!
`
`
This is the software
that I will be using:
`
On Mac, I have
the following apps:
`
`
`
`
`
`
`
And on Windows 10,
I have specific software
installed there as well.
`
And some of that is free software,
where I couldn’t FIND
any slick online video
made by some of their creators...
not even a mildly
informative video exists.
`
So I recorded some video myself about
these free
software programs
I installed on Windows 10.
`
Indeed, I actually made these
videos on both platforms
to show that I do have these
types of software installed
as I try to demonstrate
a vision
in creating a
sustainable future
TOGETHER!
`
Here, check out these clips:
`
(...with apologies to you, if this is your photo
of the State Capitol in Olympia,
as these programs are always better suited for
for embellishing photography from a high quality
camera, not using the camera that is pointed
at me when I use a smartphone...)
`
It really is “bad form”
to use other people’s art
(such as using someone’s photos OR
taking a picture of someone
without their permission),
especially if you are profiting
from the work of the original artist or the
unaccredited model.
`
So, once again,
`
`
`
`
`
`
`
And now, with Windows 10:
`
GIMP with G'MIC:
`
(Both GIMP and G'MIC are FREE to DOWNLOAD!)
`
`
`
(Like GIMP, Inkscape also is FREE to DOWNLOAD!)
`
`
AI Adjust and Topaz Studio:
`
`
`
This exists for Mac, iOS and Android,
as well as for Windows!
`
`
But wait! There’s more!
`
Yes, you might say that you don’t want me to use
expensive software for your photos.
`
Well, that’s fine.
`
You can turn your photos into art,
even through your smartphone.
`
(Yes, Painnt is a deliberate lead-in
to the transition to smartphone apps,
as it is available on smartphones, itself.)
`
Even websites exist,
where I have also recorded some video
from my computer on such websites,
to upload photos to, to get inspired
with artificial intelligence.
`
A full list on these websites
are linked below.
`
Just stay with me.
`
I have a bit more explaining to do.
`
Technical processes lie ahead!
`
`
`
I included this website because
it is a rare one,
this site offers high-quality renders
from their artificial intelligence-inspired
illustrations, at 15 megapixels.
`
Putting a 15 megapixel illustration
on canvas, to hang on the wall,
would create a size around
16 x 32 inches
as a piece of art.
`
(I will demonstrate
some finished pieces
of art a little later.)
`
But what if you want
to create something
larger than
`
16 x 32 inches?
(My thoughts about
maximizing size will
also follow a little later.)
`
`
`
I deliberately showed a series of
portraits done within the above video,
recorded from this website.
`
The potential to personalize
art gets easier and easier with
each passing year.
`
Maybe 2021 will be the year that
personalized art is to become
something of a widespread,
mainstream thing.
`
Perhaps I will be the one to help
kickstart that movement
into action?
`
More information
about me
also follows a little later.
`
At any rate... maybe
someone is able
to see the potential,
a portrait of a modern-day
Van Gogh or Mona Lisa
within the video I just provided,
featuring those AI-styled portraits.
`
I just want to
further show
YOU what
is POSSIBLE.
`
`
“Okay, but… Carl,
I am self-conscious
about how
I look and…”
`
Wait, wait, wait.
Hold up.
`
I have been showing you
ways to manipulate your image
as you work from home.
This, as the pandemic
continues to rage.
`
I just mean to
empower you with
a range in
alternatives to
photography.
`
You see, there are other
options to use aspects
of imaging if you are
uncomfortable with your
own body’s image.
`
Both this website and this
website are featured in a list
further down on this page.
`
Those are just two websites that can
generate a different portrait for you,
but there are other sites out there...
`
`
You may have even
seen distorted, psychedelic images,
where the artificial intelligence
will insert faces of dogs, for example,
where no faces of dogs existed
in the original photo.
`
But in my experience,
that can do this better
from that website.
`
As before, with all the
other sites I have mentioned,
you will find this site listed below
with the other sites
I found over the years.
`
But, in any case,
I demonstrate both
website and app to you,
if you are still looking for
an artistic “look.”
`
You decide the results yourself.
`
`
I am just showing these websites now
so that you understand that you do not
need to even use your own face to make
works of art from them.
`
You can use anything,
any form of manipulation
that your heart desires.
`
ANYTHING.
`
That is what art is anyway.
`
It is subjective.
`
And since those two sites generate
a model from artificial intelligence,
you do not get $50 from me and a
photoshoot with me at the camera.
`
But you can still work
from home on this...
`
And, as a backdrop to keep that art
interesting, you can use ideas created
to possibly follow basic compositional rules
between the subject and the background.
`
And while it may be cheaper and
easier to use art created from
a mobile or an online interface,
the image quality can also be poor.
`
The video of the website that I showed earlier,
this is the only site that offers
high quality renders of photos
into works of art with the guide of
artificial intelligence.
`
So, yes, I have used many methods,
online, mobile and desktop
artificial intelligence
programs
for artistic creation.
`
This is called
artistic exploration
and being able to explore effects
like this IS crucial to
being an artist.
`
And I don’t rely on
desktop applications
alone,
like Topaz Studio OR Studio Artist
to get a
“painted look.”
`
I use the programs I showed you above
(such as the program GIMP)
to sharpen and smooth the pixels
on the images I am working on,
so they are not fuzzy, washed
out or distorted in any way
AFTER I enlarge the image,
as the art made by online or mobile
artificial intelligence
would shrink the
image more than
what I want it to be.
`
You cannot put “small” sized images
on “large” sized canvas frames.
`
But any image on Mac and Windows
would stay the same size,
when any of the programs
listed above are used.
`
This is not true with all of the
programs and websites below.
`
Some of them will reduce the size
of the image automatically,
so I may use these following links
FIRST, THEN
I would enlarge the images and
distort them, perhaps
enhance them with
Luminar AI, Topaz Studio, etc.,
but ESPECIALLY
with GIMP.
